Beijing Chaoyang Park Cultural and Creative Project
Project Background:
Beijing Chaoyang Park is a large-scale, comprehensive, and multifunctional cultural, recreational, and entertainment park centered on landscaping and greenery. It is the largest urban park within Beijing’s Fourth Ring Road. Originally known as Shuiduizi Park, it was established in 1984 and renamed Beijing Chaoyang Park in 1992. It stretches approximately 2.8 kilometers from north to south and 1.5 kilometers from east to west, with a total planned area of 288.7 hectares, of which 68.2 hectares are water bodies, and green space accounts for 87% of the total area. Chaoyang Park features more than twenty attractions, including the Central Leaders’ Tree-Planting Grove, the Generals’ Grove, and the Esperanto Grove.
Project Requirements:
1. The exterior design of the mobile kiosks must align with the park’s image and reflect Tianjin’s cultural heritage; 2. The kiosks must accommodate a variety of business formats and meet visitors’ needs for leisure and entertainment.
Operational Results:
1. The introduction of mobile kiosks has helped consolidate Beijing Chaoyang Park’s traditional cultural identity into a cohesive image; 2. The design elements inspired by Old Beijing have attracted a significant number of out-of-town visitors.
